The more people use Amaca, the greater the number of random keyphrases generated and also the greater number of encrypted messages. This disipates the risk of you being targeted for a potential attack, and discourages attacks by making them considerably less cost-effective.
If you are not careful about this, you could end up at a fake site that matches the look and feel of Amaca. Amaca is compatible with all major web browsers. However, to maximize your privacy, we strongly recommend you use one or more of the following privacy-friendly web browsers for all your web browsing:
Brave | DuckDuckGo | Firefox | Firefox Focus | Safari | Tor | Vivaldi
Amaca DOES NOT use persistent (activity tracking) cookies. However, for your convenience, Amaca uses session cookies — temporary cookies that are NOT installed in your device and DON'T track your activity. Session cookies disappear once you end your session and close your browser. Some privacy-friendly browsers allow session cookies by default, but others don’t. If Amaca is not working correctly with your privacy-friendly browser, make sure to change the settings so “session cookies” (and ONLY session cookies) are enabled while using Amaca. Finally, Amaca uses Javascript, so make sure to allow scripts.
